Three Swedish men who stopped for the night in Houston midway through a charitable cross-country bicycling trek have successfully concluded their journey.

After starting out Sept. 13 in New York City, the group (cyclists Ola Nilsson and Hakan Nilsson and support man Fredrik Olsson) arrived on schedule and injury-free in San Francisco on Nov. 23.

The marathon ride was designed as a method of raising funds for having a school built for children in Cambodia. The project, known as Bike 4 Cambodia (B4C), had an original goal of 29,000 British pounds. As of Monday, more than 30,000 pounds had been donated.

While passing through the Ozarks on Highway 17, the B4C bunch spent a night at the Lazy L Motel in Houston.
